Scharzfeld (16.16 miles / 26 km)

This town near Herzberg am Harz is home to an impressive natural phenomenon. Large boulders rise above the city and resemble the Italian Dolomites, hence the name “Harz Dolomites”. There is a wonderful 10 km walk from the unicorn cave visitor center, which is also worth a visit in itself. The Scharzfels mountain ruins are also worth seeing!
